Alternative Services
(NYS) The following charges for direct burial and direct cremation do not include additional items or services, merchandise, facility use, and livery that the customer may wish to select.
Direct Cremation
(FTC) If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative container encases the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition material (with or without and outside covering). The container we provide is an Alternative Container made of unfinished heavy cardboard with a wood reinforced bottom.
(NYS) If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you may use an unfinished wooden box or an alternative container. Alternative containers can be made of heavy cardboard, pressed wood or composition materials (with or without an outside covering), or may be pouches of canvas or other materials.
Our services for a direct cremation represent the following items:
- Local Removal from place of death within 30 miles of the Funeral Home,
- Arrangement fee and,
- Transportation by service vehicle to a crematory of the Funeral Home’s choice

Direct Cremation With Alternative Container Provided by the Consumer
Includes the services as described above but with cremation container supplied by the customer

Direct (Immediate) Burial
(FTC) Our charge for an immediate burial (without ceremony) includes: basic services of funeral director and staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; removal of remains; and local transportation to cemetery.
Our services for a direct burial represent the following items:
- Local removal from place of death within 30 miles of Funeral Home
- Basic Arrangement fee
- Transportation to the cemetery by service vehicle for burial within 30 miles of Funeral Home
Prices range from: $2,475.00 to $4,595
- Direct burial prices DO NOT include cemetery charges or the cost of an Outer Interment Receptacle (FTC)/ Outer Burial Container (NYS) which may be required by the cemetery. See separate price list provided by Funeral Home
- Charge per mile beyond local 30-mile range: $3.00 per mile one way
Traditional Services

Embalming

Embalming of Autopsied and/or Tissue Donor Remains

It is the policy of the Funeral Home that remains which will be presented for public viewing or for a funeral service, in either an open or closed casket, must be embalmed, unless prohibited by spiritual belief or custom.
(NYS) In New York State, embalming is not required by law. If you do not want embalming, you have the right to choose an arrangement which does not require you to pay for embalming such as direct cremation or direct burial. If you select certain funeral arrangements, such as viewing or an open casket funeral, embalming may be required by the funeral firm.
(FTC) Embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with a viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement such as direct cremation or immediate burial that does not require you to pay for it.
Other Preparation Excluding Embalming
(NYS) Preparation of the remains, unless selected, is not required for direct cremation or for direct burial.

(NYS) Custodial Care will not be charged on the days when embalming or other preparation of the remains occurs, visitation is held, or a funeral service is conducted.
Arrangments
(NYS) The charge for our services will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. However, this charge will not be added to the cost for direct cremation, direct burial, forwarding of remains, or receiving of remains because the prices for those services include this charge.
(FTC) This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added tot he total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included ino ur charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving
Basic Arrangements
Including funeral director, other staff, equipment, and facilities to respond to initial request for service, the arrangement conference, securing of necessary authorizations, and coordination of service plans with parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased.

Limited Services
Forwarding Remains to Another Funeral Home
This charge includes the transfer or the remains to the funeral home, staff, services, securing necessary authorizations, local transportation to point of shipment, and a minimum shipping container. The charge does not include shipping charges or additional items of services, merchandise, facility use, and livery that the customer may wish to select.

Transportation beyond local point of shipment will be billed either as livery or common carrier charges depending upon the forwarding location. Local point of shipment is up to 30 miles, $3.00/mile thereafter – one way.
Preparation of Remains
This charge includes basic transportation of the remains to the funeral home and/or place of local disposition, staff services, and securing necessary authorizations. The charge does not include additional items of services, merchandise, facility use, and livery that the customer may with to select.

Transportation beyond a local place of disposition will be billed as livery charges. Local place of disposition is up to 30 miles, $3.00/mile thereafter – one way.
Cash Advances
(NYS) Services and merchandise provided as cash advance items will be billed at the same time amount paid by the funeral firm.
