Age 72, died at his home on December 13, 2023 in Goodland, FL.
He was born in Warsaw, NY, resided in Portageville and Pike, NY, and has been a resident of Florida since 1976.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Vicki Oliver and sister, Rosemary Oliver.
Surviving are his sister, Terry (Kent) Cartwright, nephew, Jeromy (Carolann) Cartwright and Jeromy’s children, Eli and Zane, and his very best friend, Sandy (Jared) Bryson.
He graduated from Fillmore Central School and was a communications major at Geneseo College. He played guitar and sang for the band “Friends” in NY and the “Mullet Brothers” in Florida. He was a bartender at the “Little Bar” in Goodland for many years, then had a business taking tourists through the wildlife habitat of the Everglades.
He MC’d many events in his community and entered many contests, such as, Chili cook-offs and Bloody Mary contests. He was known for his elaborate Halloween costumes. He won a National trial for Skeet shooting, was an avid fisherman, turkey and deer hunter. There was no bigger Buffalo Bills fan. Bill was good natured and had a big heart. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed.
