William N. Sager

Age 101, of Castile, NY, passed away on June 17, 2021 at his home under the loving care of his family and hospice.

He was born March 8, 1920 in Perry, NY son of the late Ross and Myrtle Parmerter Sager. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II. Bill was a hard worker. He worked for many years in various capacities for Morton Salt Company in Silver Springs prior to his retirement in 1982. For over fifty years, Bill and his family owned and operated a tree farm as well. In earlier years, he enjoyed trips to the race track with friends.

Surviving are his wife of seventy-four years, Joyce Olsowsky Sager; his daughters, Brenda (Art) Koch of Wayland, Marcia Maines of Castile, Rita (Gary) Grisewood of Castile; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; his sister, Ruth Harding of Fowlerville; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, Brian Maines and siblings, Marion, Blanche, Zylphia, Shirley, Florence, Pauline, Marie, Charlotte, Laura and Daisy.
