Wendy S. Skidmore

Age 45, of Warsaw, lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Wendy earned her dental assistant certification through BOCES and worked at Oak Orchard until her first battle with cancer in 2019. After she recovered she attended the Escoffiet School of Culinary Arts where she earned her diploma in culinary arts and operations. With this, she created and ran her home business, Wanderer’s Confections.

She was a member of the Warsaw Fire Department where she earned her Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. First and foremost Wendy was a mother and homemaker. She was extremely passionate about everything she accomplished and set her mind on.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Marian and Casmer (step) Wiegoszynski, George Laraby and Frances Matton (step), and Christian and Florence Ebersole; her father, Harold Ebersole and numerous aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her mother, Marcia Ebersole; her husband, Michael Skidmore; her children, Shara Pawlowski (Zeke Roulo), Jaden Pawlowski, and Cameron Skidmore; her in-laws, Peg and Steve Wilkinson, Gaile and the late Ron Skidmore; her sister-in-law, Cheryl and the late Chris Bookmiller; her brothers, Jamie (Maria) Ebersole, Joel Ebersole; her aunts and uncles, Joanne Joy (Ken Payne), Jill (Michael) Aaron, Jackie and Jose DeJesus, Melissa (late Kevin) Miller, John Laraby (late Kim Beckhorn); numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life to commemorate Wendy on July 26, 2025 from 1-5 pm ath the Veteran’s Memorial Building located in the Warsaw Village Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Warsaw Fire Department, 40 East Buffalo Street, Warsaw, NY 14569 or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org/donate. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
