Age 72, of Warsaw, formerly of Silver Springs, passed away after a lengthy illness on May 16, 2022 at East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. He was surrounded by his family who will miss him dearly.
He was born December 27, 1949 in Warsaw, NY to the late Lloyd “Dean” and Audrey Smith Gell. Tom was a graduate of Warsaw Central School class of 1969. He worked as a custodian at Morton Salt Company for 39 years. Tom was a former member of the barbershop chorus and he enjoyed bowling.
Tom cherished his friendships that he made through bowling, attending church, and visiting the local Vertical Cafe. There was nothing more important to Tom though than his family. He was a loving and involved father and uncle, but above all an extraordinary grandfather who took the time to make lasting memories with his grandkids.
Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Steve and an infant brother, Robert.
He is survived by his children, Patrick Gell of Austin, TX, Danielle (Chevy) Arnold of Hilton, and Michelle (Jim) Moag of Covington; and grandsons, Odin, Ashton, and Noah;
Friends and Family may call Friday, May 20th from 4 – 7 PM at Robinson And Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a funeral service will be held immediately following at 7 PM. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Silver Springs at a later date.
