Susan Abbott

Age 74, of Silver Springs, NY passed away on June 27, 2022 at Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home in Perry.

She was born December 5, 1947 in Warsaw, NY to the late Arthur and Neva Smith Hardy. Susan worked for many years at Manor Oak Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw and then went on to work at the Batavia VA Medical Center.
Susan enjoyed camping, winters in Florida with her husband, Roy and the time she spent with her family by the ocean in the Outer Banks. She also loved collecting gnomes.

Susan is predeceased by her husband of forty-eight years, Roy W. Abbott who passed away in 2019 and her grandson, Ethan M. Abbott.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Kirk) Schroeder of Castile, Rebecca (Raymond) Hicks of Perry, Jeffrey (Sara Nieman) Abbott of Perry; grandchildren, Alyssa Abbott, Hunter Schroeder, Darren Abbott, Sage Schroeder, Stacy (Jeremiah) Norcross; great grandchild, Francheskah; her siblings, David (Carol) Hardy of Hornell, Richard Hardy of Utah, Clifford (Sharon) Hardy of Utah, Mary Jane Wilkie of Buffalo.

At Susan’s request there will be no public services. Private burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Silver Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Susan to Suzanne’s Comfort Care, Inc., 167 N. Main St., Perry, NY 14530.
