Sue Yvonne Reynolds-Neeley, age 59, loving wife and mother, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Wyoming County Community Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility after a courageous battle with cancer. Sue was born in Warsaw, NY to the late Jean and Robert Reynolds on July 28, 1960.
Sue graduated from Attica Central High School in 1978. Following graduation, she attended Bryant & Stratton College and received her degree in 1979.
Sue spent her entire career working at Wyoming County Community Hospital, most of which was in the X-Ray Department, and retired in 2015 after 35 years of service.
Growing up in Attica, Sue gained many friendships and special bonds that continued throughout her life. Some of her favorite times were with the neighborhood “Top of the Hill Gang” on West Main Street and participating in the annual Attica Haunted House event with her classmates and friends.
Sue loved to be out in her garden planting flowers in her many flower beds and flower pots. She was also an avid reader and a great cook. Sue loved traveling to Lake George with her husband and daughter and cousins to relax and get away from it all. She also enjoyed visiting New York City and spending time with her sister in Texas. Some of her other favorite things to do included meeting friends for lunch, playing weekly Trivia, Club Pogo, watching the Buffalo Sabres as well as connecting with friends and family on Facebook. Sue also participated in the Warsaw Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Sue is survived by her husband: Robert Neeley, daughter: Shelagh Neeley, sister and brother-in-law: Shelagh (George) Cacioppo, aunts: Bonnie and Joan Reynolds, uncle: Peter Reynolds, cousins: James, Joe, Jeff and Pete Reynolds.
Daughter-in-law to: Barbara Neeley, sister-in-law to: Brian (Sue) Neeley, Bruce (Amy) Neeley, and Brent Neeley, cousins: John and Dee Neeley, nephew: Matthew (Michelle) Neeley and their daughter Emmy Neeley.
A private funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Sue may be made to Roswell Cancer Institute, the Wyoming County ASPCA, or the Warsaw Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
