Sharon Rose O'Riley

Age 78, of Warsaw, passed away on October 10, 2022 at Buffalo General Hospital.

Sharon was born on February 29, 1944, the youngest of seven siblings, to the late William O’Riley and Mabel Corbett of Watertown. She enjoyed being a leap year baby her entire life. She attended Immaculate Heart Academy in Watertown where she discovered her love for cheerleading. Most of her working years were spent at SUNY Geneseo both in the library and student union. Even in retirement, she continued to connect with the students by advising several campus groups.

Sharon was active in retirement, and always on the go. In the summertime, her favorite activity was to go to any of several beaches in the Finger Lakes region. She was a frequent attendee of local festivals, often engaging the vendors in conversation. She also enjoyed football, especially the Buffalo Bills.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Erin DeGroff (Leslie) of Warsaw; her grandchildren Nate DeGroff and Hailey DeGroff of Warsaw; and her sister Therese Scully of Milford, Connecticut.
