Sharon M. Van Slyke

Age 76, of Silver Springs, passed away on October 26, 2020 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

She was born February 1, 1944 in Buffalo, NY, daughter of the late Raymond, Sr. and Marion Howe Phelps. Sharon attended Letchworth Central School. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and crafting. Sharon loved using those talents to make beautiful gifts for her family.

Surviving are her husband, Michael Van Slyke, whom she married October 22, 2011; her children, Kimberly (John) Woodin of Wake Forest, NC, Roberta (Doug) Steffenhagen of Machias, Matthew Lavery of Raleigh, NC; her siblings, Bruce Phelps of Arcade, Donna (Jerry) Davis of Covington, Patricia (Mike) Marley of Warsaw; several step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sharon was the mother of the late Betty Jane Davis and sister of the late Raymond Phelps, Jr.

Friends may call Saturday, October 31 from 2 – 4 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a private family service will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
