Royal E. Bailey

Age 81, of Silver Springs, NY passed away at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 14, 1940 in Genesee Falls, NY, son of the late Ernest and Vivian Wood Bailey. Royal was a veteran of the US Army, who proudly served his country. He was employed for twenty-seven years as a corrections officer prior to his retirement from the Attica Correctional Facility. Royal was an avid hunter and Buffalo Bills fan. He enjoyed jogging and was a member of the YMCA.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-six years, Mary LaVarnway Bailey, whom he married on October 17, 1964; his sons, Daniel (Darlene) Bailey, Michael (Dawn) Bailey; daughter-in-law, Crissy Bailey; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister, Lena Belle Stangrover; brother, Myron Bailey. Royal was the father of the late Joseph Bailey and he was predeceased by several siblings.
