Ross J. Foley, Jr.

Age 76, of Warsaw, passed away on October 30, 2020 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

He was born June 8, 1944 in Malone, NY son of the late Ross J., Sr. and Marian Bowen Foley. Ross was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam War. In earlier years, he worked for the Yale & Towne Company. He then worked as a corrections officer for several years at Attica Correctional Facility and then Groveland Correctional Facility. He retired in 1995. Ross was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-three years, Janeane Miller Foley whom he married October 28, 1967; his sons, Matthew Foley of Warsaw, Michael (Tamara) Foley of Orchard Park; his grandchildren, Lauren Foley, Colin, Samuel and Drew Foley and Caroline Foley; his brothers, Nelson Foley of Batavia, Don (Mary Margaret) Foley of Caledonia, Denny (Betty) Foley of LeRoy; several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Mark Foley, Luke Foley, John Foley and Brian Foley and brother of the late Loretta Loranty.

Friends may call Thursday, November 5 from 1 – 4 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a private memorial service will follow. Memorials may be made to the Nature Conservancy of Central & Western New York, 274 Goodman St. North, Rochester, NY 14607. Due to Covid 19 precautions, the funeral home is limited to 33% capacity and facemasks are required. Thank you for your cooperation.
