Robert William Wright, Jr.

On July 29, 2022 Robert William Wright Jr. passed away in Fayetteville NC. Robert was 77 years old.

Robert was born Nov. 30, 1944 in Buffalo NY. Robert was the son of Robert William Wright and Eleanor Delores (Schindler) Wright of Warsaw NY. Robert grew up in Wyoming NY. Robert joined the United States army in 1963. He was enlisted in the 101st Air Assault, Screaming Eagle division, and based at the 82nd Airborne division in Fort Bragg NC. Robert received an honorable discharge after 25 years, 2months, and 17 days of service to his country. Robert received many awards and a purple heart for being inured in the line of duty. Robert was married to Kyong Suk Wright for 39 years, they married in 1983.

Robert is pre deceased by his parents, Robert and Eleanor, one sister Carol Ann Zeches, 3 children Robert William Wright Kruppner, Misty Gill Ray, and Deloris Ann Wright.

Robert's survivors include his wife Kyong, a daughter Bobbie Wright Shumaker, 3sisters and 4 brothers. Patricia Kruppner, (Perry) Harry(Delores)Wright (California), Lavern(Kim) Wright(Warsaw), Julia Boulden(Warsaw), George(Bonnie)Wright (Pike), Fred(Judy)Wright (Pike), Helen(David) Barkley(Warsaw) along with many nieces and nephews.

Roberts main career was as a paratrooper in the Air assault division in the United States Army. Later in life Robert volunteered at the Korean Baptist church in Fayetteville NC. where he would cook for many gatherings.

There will be a small military's service and prayer from 5pm to7pm live streamed through the (Lafayette funeral home) Wednesday, August 3rd at the the Korean Baptist church 6873 Cliffdale Rd Fayetteville NC, 28314. Robert will be cremated in care of the (Lafayette funeral home) and a burial at sea will follow on Thursday. In Lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to be sent to the church in Roberts name, that would be greatly appreciated by the family.
