Age 87, a resident of the Livingston County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Morris, formerly of Warsaw and Perry, passed away on February 27, 2020 at the nursing facility.
He was born January 3, 1933 in Gainesville, NY, son of the late Samuel J., Sr. and Lucille Shumaker Sharman. Bob was employed for twenty-three years as a shipping and receiving foreman at the former Almor Corp. in Warsaw prior to his retirement in 1991. In earlier years, he served in the same capacity with the Turnbull Elevator Company.
Bob was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #560 in Warsaw. He was also a former member of the Warsaw Fire Department and former Captain of the Warsaw Fire Police. He played baseball for the former Warsaw Rangers and was a scout master for Troop 32 and Troop 33 in Warsaw for fourteen years. Bob also owned a large hat collection, many of which were personally autographed by celebrities.
Bob was predeceased by his wife, Mary Baker Sharman who died January 7, 2010.
Surviving are his children, Harry Jay (Laurie) Sharman of Mt. Morris, Robert J. (Don Drachenberg) Sharman II of Rochester, Debbra (Gary Draper) Sharman of Warsaw; his sister, Alberta Jean Howard of Perry; his brother, Richard L. (Donna) Sharman of Toans, VA; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Samuel J. Sharman, Jr., Lyle E. Sharman, Albert L. Sharman, William H. Sharman, Lewis H. Sharman, Lucille A. Fisher, Eleanor Sharman and Mary Lange.
There are no calling hours. Services are private. Memorials may be made to the Warsaw Fire Department, PO Box 171, Warsaw, NY 14569.
