Robert C. Janes

Age 75, of North Java, passed away at home on April 2, 2021.

He was born February 3, 1946 in Batavia, NY, son of the late Verne and Helen Geitner Janes. Bob was a proud veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Vietnam War. He was a longtime member of the Alexander Firemen’s Band. In earlier years, he was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bob was an avid football fan and he loved his dogs. He was also a member of Holy Family Parish in North Java.

Surviving are his wife of forty-two years, Sandra Adamczak Janes; his daughters, Rebecca Lee of Beaufort, SC, Jamie Susan Janes of Hudson, FL; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; his brothers, Michael Janes of Attica, David (Joyce) Janes of Lake City, MN. He was the brother of the late Thomas Janes.

Friends may call Tuesday, April 6 from 10 – 11 AM at Holy Family Parish, 4316 Route 98, North Java where Bob’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following visitation at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, North Java. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Holy Family Parish, PO Box 252, North Java, NY 14113 or the Charlotte House Comfort Care Home, PO Box 123, North Java, NY 14113.
