Richard Duane Howard

Age 65, of Silver Springs, NY, passed away at home under the loving care of his family.

He was born March 28, 1954 in Wellsville, NY son of the late Donald and Frances Drew Howard. Richard was a veteran of the US Navy. He worked for many years as a carpet mechanic with Howard’s Floor Covering in Warsaw, prior to his retirement in 2008.

Richard was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He also enjoyed music, video games, his favorite television series’, fishing and spending time with his family.

Richard was preceded in death by his son, Richard Todd Howard; his brother, Ralph Howard and his sister, Carol Rood.

Surviving are his beloved wife of forty-four years, Sindy Wilcox Howard whom he married on July 12, 1975; his daughters, Amber (David) Howard D’Orazio and Emily Howard both of Silver Springs, NY; his granddaughters, Hadley Grace D’Orazio, Ezylnn Bella Howard; a very special niece Kristy (Jeff) Wilcox Goff of Henrietta, NY; great nieces, Brooklyn Bella Goff, Julianna Grace Goff; his sister, Debi (Jacques) Karr of Warsaw; his brothers, Donald Howard and Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Howard both of Warsaw; several nieces and nephews.

At Richard’s request, there will be no services. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the family.
