NICHOLAS J. ABBOTT

Age 41, of Silver Springs, passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2023 at Wyoming County Community Hospital.

Nicholas was born March 20, 1982 in Warsaw, son to John Abbott and Victoria (Jesse VanName) Briggs. He is a 2001 graduate of Letchworth Central School and was currently working as a farm equipment operator at Southview Dairy Farms in Castile. Nick was a truck and John Deere enthusiast and enjoyed hunting and fixing small engines. Nick was the type of guy that would do anything for anyone. It was not uncommon to get a pop-in visit from Nick or an assist with a lawn mowing once in a while. He was a hard-working, big-hearted, protective, full-of-life man that fiercely loved his family more than anything.

Surviving along with his parents are his partner for 14 years and wife of 8 years, Laurie Abbott; his children, Natalie Abbott and Landon Abbott; his brother, Travis (Tonya Bliss) Abbott of Castile; his step-mom, Kim Abbott; his in-laws, Richard and Kathleen Derrick; his brother-in-laws, Brent Orcutt, Chris (Stephanie) Derrick, Nick (Jessica) Derrick, Joey (Shelby) Derrick; his sister-in-law, Maryann (Charlie) Trumpfheller; his nephews, Brock, Carson, Bryce and Charlie; his nieces, Grace, Abigail and Isabella; many cousins, aunts, uncles, and several very good friends.
