Michelle J. Shaffer

Age 46, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025 at Buffalo General Hospital.

She was born October 29, 1978, daughter of Stanley Jones and the late Jody Deiter Jones. After graduating from Perry High School in 1996, Michelle accomplished a lot in her adult life. She was a fun, hardworking, family oriented woman. Michelle worked for many years at Pioneer Credit; was a fraud specialist at Five Star Bank and worked as a Licensed Real Estate Agent for NextHome Brixwood. But as much as she enjoyed those jobs, bartending at the Wyoming County Veteran’s Club was her favorite. With her infectious personality, she loved meeting new people and getting to know them. Michelle was an amazing friend and had a knack for pulling people out of their shells to get the most fun out of every experience. She was a proud member of the Wyoming County Veteran’s Club Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 532. She enjoyed karaoke, avidly worked out and often participated in 5K runs as well. Above all though, Michelle loved spending time with her family. Her three children meant the world to her and she always found time for them and their activities, especially enjoying the camping trips she took with them.

Along with her mother, she is predeceased by her grandparents, Paul and Winola Deiter and her aunt, Theresa Yamonaco.

Michelle is survived by her daughter, Myiah Jones; her sons, Brody and Tavin Shaffer; her father, Stanley (Nancy Henry) Jones; her loving companion, Joe Shaffner; her brothers, Mike Jones and Geoffery Beagle; several aunts and uncles; one niece and one nephew.

Friends may call on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 12-3 pm at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A Celebration of Life for Michelle will be held immediately following visitation at the Wyoming County Veteran’s Club, 245 W. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
