It is with great sadness that the family of Marguerite “Joy” (Wilyat) Nocera announces her passing on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the age of 95.
Joy will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughters, Deborah (James) Adamo and Karen (Thomas) DeSeyn; grandchildren, Kara (Jeremy) Stringer, Tracy (Josh) Shail, James (Julie) Adamo, David (Elina) Adamo and Krista (Scott) Quick; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Domenic Wilyat; sister, Carole Stack; sister-in-laws, Carol (Kenneth) Marshall and Mary Ann Nocera; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joy was predeceased by her husband, Ray; her parents, John and Elizabeth Wilyat and seven siblings.
She retired from Wyoming County Community Hospital after many years of service as a switchboard operator.
Joy had a zest for life, enjoyed her visits to the casinos and spending time with family.
Friends and family may call Friday, November 22, 2024 from 4-6 PM at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 171 N. Main St., Warsaw.
Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
