Marcia K. Horton

Age 78, of Castile, NY, passed away on October 17, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester following a lengthy illness.

She was born February 2, 1944 in Buffalo, NY, daughter of the late William and Margaret Beaumont Mason. Marcia was employed for many years with the Letchworth Central School District; eleven years as a teacher’s assistant and thirty-four years as a bus driver. She received her associates degree from Erie County Tech. Marcia was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Church in Silver Springs. She enjoyed traveling. Marcia loved her home life; working in her garden, baking and cooking. She also enjoyed collecting cookbooks and recipes.

Surviving are her husband of fifty-seven years, Edward Horton, whom she married on December 27, 1964; her children, Christopher Michael Horton of Gainesville, Patricia Kathleen (Kyle) Mikos of O’Fallon, Illinois; grandchildren, Tyler Horton, Cassandra Horton, Delaney Mikos, RyAnne Mikos and Bryce Mikos; her sister, Dawn Marie (Dennis) Miller of Castile; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday, October 20 from 4 – 8 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 North Main Street, Warsaw. Marcia’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 21 at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Silver Springs. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Silver Springs.
