Lucia A. Griffen

Age 97, of Warsaw, passed away on November 19, 2022 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital.

Lucia was born in Pike, NY, daughter of the late William and Edith Lewis Buckley. She was a homemaker her entire life. Lucia was an avid reader, but most of all, loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Lucia is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Vernon Griffen; her son, Terence Griffen; her sisters, Charlotte Upright, Marian Brown, Maude Bisson, Violet Green and Delphine Hall; her brothers, David Buckley and William Buckley; her son-in-law, Gary Holmes; her sister-in-law, Reva Buckley; her brother-in-law, Rev. Donald Brown.

Lucia is survived by her daughter, Ann (Ray Brooks) Holmes of Warsaw; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Conti, Jason Holmes, Michelle Phelps, Dr. Edward (Jay) Griffen, Jeremey (Jesse) Daly-Griffen; Nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; Daughter-in-law, Joyce (Brad Fisher) Griffen.

Friends may call Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Lucia’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
