Mrs. Lois Ahl passed away peacefully September 18, 2019 at the Skilled Nursing Facility at Wyoming County Community Health System. Born in Nunda, November 5, 1926 to Bertha and Jay Chasey, she lived most of her life in Warsaw and resided in Ocala Florida for several years. Most recently she made her home under the loving care of The Cloisters Assisted Living Facility in Warsaw, NY.
Mrs. Ahl attended nursing school under The US World War II Nursing Corps Act and was a respected Registered Nurse, retiring from WCCHS after 35 years. She advanced her career while raising 6 children. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Lois is predeceased by her husband of 50 years Everett “Pete” Ahl and a daughter, Stefanie.
Survivors include her children: Susan (Dr. Warren) Giffith of Oakridge, Oregon; Sandra (Francis Phelps) Ahl of Batavia, NY; Sheila (Richard) Rice of Warsaw, NY; Bryan (Claudia) Ahl of Ocala, Florida; Becky (Christopher) Stone of Candor, NY and a devoted granddaughter whom she raised, Tara (Patrick) Smith of Parma, NY. Also surviving are an additional 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Arrangements are being completed by Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours. A private ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Stafford Rural Cemetery.
