Kurt T. Shearing

Age 54, of Gainesville, NY, passed away at home on February 11, 2020.

He was born July 27, 1965 in Warsaw, son of the late William and Adria Bradley Shearing. Kurt was employed as an equipment operator for Marquart Farms; one of several farms in the area that he worked for. He also enjoyed his work as a groomer at Swain Ski Area.

Kurt was an outdoorsman and an accomplished photographer and he also enjoyed canoeing.

Surviving are his children, Cameron (Amy) Shearing of Warsaw, Samantha Shearing of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Nova Lynn and Joslynn; his brother, Russell (Julie) Shearing of Gainesville; sister, Kelly Shearing of Gainesville; nephews, Jacob, William and Austin; aunts, uncles and cousins; his friend to the end, Sheri DeRue and his canine companion, Stella.

Friends and relatives are invited to a celebration of Kurt’s life at 1 PM on February 29 at the Gainesville United Methodist Church, Main St., Gainesville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wilmot Cancer Institute, 300 E. River Rd., PO Box 278996, Rochester, NY 14627 or the Gainesville United Methodist Church, 7 S. Main St., Gainesville, NY 14066.
