June E. Bauer

JUNE E. BAUER

Age 86, of Perry, passed peacefully at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Warsaw on July 19, 1928, daughter of the late Claude Pickard and Bernice Bowles Pickard. June was a member of the Perry Emergency Ambulance Corp for twenty-eight years, rising through the ranks to President.

In 1999, June was awarded the Paul Harris Award from the Rotary Club for her dedicated volunteer service. She was a past member of the Perry Universalist Church and she attended the First United Methodist Church in Perry when she was able.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian ?Mike? Bauer and her brothers Neal, Earl and Donald Pickard.

She is survived by a daughter, Sally (Floyd) Field of East Bridgewater, MA; sons, Karl (Barb) Bauer of Amherst, NY, David Bauer of Perry, Douglas (Michelle) Bauer of Fairport, NY and Jeffrey (Sandy) Bauer of Perry. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Fred Bauer, Sr. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At June?s request, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the Perry Emergency Ambulance, PO Box 288, Perry, NY 14530 or to a charity of the donor?s choice.
