Joyce Ann Sager

Age 92, of Castile, NY, passed away on August 20, 2022 at home under the loving care of her family and hospice.

She was born January 3, 1930 in Perry, NY to the late Harry and Julia Lapham Olsowsky. Joyce was a member of the Home Bureau and the Silver & Gold Club in Castile. She enjoyed traveling, especially going on senior trips.

Along with her parents, Joyce is predeceased by her husband, William N. Sager whom she married February 22, 1947. She is also predeceased by her stepmother, Laura Grisewood Olsowsky, her brother, William C. (late Anna) Olsowsky, her stepsiblings, Ralph VanKuren and Carol (late Ike) Bailey, and her grandson, Brian Maines.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Art) Koch of Wayland, Marcia Maines of Castile, Rita (Gary) Grisewood of Castile; stepbrother, Ronald J. VanKuren of Hideaway, TX; half sisters, Bonnie (late Paul) Rogers of Bliss, Sandra (late Gail) Barber of Bliss; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Private burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville. Memorials may be made to HomeCare & Hospice, 563 W. Main St., Arcade, NY 14009 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
