Joseph "Butch" Schallert

Formerly of North Java, NY, passed away peacefully at Life Path Hospice House Sun City Center, FL, on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at the age of 85. Butch was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather and friend to many. Born to Herbert and Irene (George) Schallert and employed by Henry J. Becker Company, treasurer and past-president of Kings Point Andover C condo association. Butch loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Shirley (Freyburger) Schallert; children, Judy Carlson, Varysburg, NY, Donna (Bill) Brainard, North Java, NY, John (Julie) Schallert, Cape Cod, MA; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; siblings, Mary Lippold, Ann (Ray) Weilgosz; brother-in-law, Joseph Freyburger. He was preceded in death by son-in-law, Craig Carlson; great-granddaughter, Anna Schallert; brother, George Schallert and brothers and sisters in law, Richard Lippold, Hank and Bea Becker, Harold, Charlotte and Shirley Freyburger.

Funeral Service to be held Saturday, June 19th, 2021, at 11:00 AM at St. John Neumann R.C. Church (St. Cecelia Site), Sheldon, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Life Path Hospice, 3723 Upper Creek Drive, Ruskin, FL 33573.
