John L. Russell, Jr.

Age 70, of Bliss, passed away December 8, 2020 at home following a lengthy illness.

He was born October 7, 1950 in Hornell, NY son of the late John L., Sr. and Charlotte Russell.
John was a proud veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. Following his service, John worked for several years for the Town of Eagle Highway Department and then drove truck for many years for Marquart Trucking. John then was a self employed trucker for several years. He enjoyed his time traveling and also enjoyed camping.

Surviving are his wife, Debra Noble Russell; his children, Brad (Brandy) Russell of Coleman, TX, Andria (Mark) Speros of Westminster, CO, Brent Russell of Attica; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his aunt, Lyda Metcalf of Arkport; his siblings, Glenda Wilkins of Nunda, Dan Russell of Hornell, Carol (Tim) Carey of Leicester, Patti (Randy) Duckworth of St. Louis, MS, Tina (Chris) Carney of Leicester, Terry (Michelle) Russell of Hemlock, Jody (Joel) Ostrander of Dalton.

John’s memorial service will be held Saturday, May 8 at 2 PM at the Arcade VFW Post 374, 550 Main St., Arcade, NY. Memorials may be made to the Eagle Hose Company, 6655 Pearl St., Bliss, NY 14024-9722 or Eagle Free Library, 3413 School St., Bliss, NY 14024. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
