Age 92, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2020 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw.
She was born October 6, 1927 in Warsaw, daughter of the late Harold F. and Amy F. Stamp Comstock. She graduated from Warsaw Central School in 1946.
Janice was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Lewis Gerald Kelsey whom she married August 6, 1949.
Janice was employed at Wyoming County Community Hospital as Senior Admitting Officer for thirty years, retiring in October of 1985. She was a longtime member of the Warsaw First United Methodist Church where she served as secretary from 2000 until 2014. She was also an inspector of elections for the Wyoming County Board of Elections and was tour director of the W & G Travel Club. She was a member of the New York State Retired CSEA/AFSME Chapter 1000. Janice was also a chaperone for Mighty St. Joe’s Drum & Bugle Corps of Batavia from 1965-71.
Janice is survived by her son, Gerald L. (Dianna) Kelsey and her daughter, Jodie (James) Wallace as well as her grandchildren, Jessie M. Kelsey, Michael J. Wallace and Phillip A. Wallace.
A celebration of life will be planned for later in the year.
