Age 82, of Warsaw, passed away on May 10, 2024 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
He was born on March 14, 1942 in Warsaw, NY to the late James D. and Doris Gillan Stothers. Jim was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose #560, Warsaw.
Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing, taking part in many fishing tournaments. He also enjoyed fixing things. Most of all, Jim enjoyed time spent with his family. He loved his time vacationing at Conesus Lake with his family for 50 years, and enjoyed many family gatherings with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beverly Stothers of Warsaw; his children, Brent Stothers of Warsaw, Dawn (Brett) Jones of Perry, Valerie (Brian) Hale of Livonia; grandchildren, Andrea (Brad) True, Kyle Jones, Tyler (Megan King) Hale; siblings, Tim (Karen) Stothers of Warsaw, Dennis (Liza) Stothers of Wyoming, Sherry (late Jerome) Lanni of Bridge City, TX, Judy (Ed) Marquart of Gainesville; sister-in-law, Barb (late Corky) Upright of Warsaw; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday, May 16th from 4pm to 7pm at Robinson And Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Jim’s memorial service will be held immediately following at 7pm. Burial will take place in Warsaw Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wyoming United Methodist Church, 12 Main St., Wyoming, NY 14591 or the Warsaw Fire Department, PO Box 229, Warsaw, NY 14569.
