Harold “Tuff” Harrison, 72, of Bliss, passed away February 17, 2025 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Tuff was born November 21st, 1952 in Buffalo, NY son of the late Harold and Elizabeth Harrison. He was a family man, who worked hard to give his family a great life. He retired in 2020 after 50 years of working for Lapp Insulator/PCore in LeRoy. Upon retirement, Tuff found joy in woodworking, making all of his great grandkids chairs to cherish for years to come. Tuff was known for being a classic car buff, his children and grandchildren having fond memories of going for rides and doing burnouts in his ’70 Chevelle, while his retirement project was restoring his ’68 El Camino. Tuff was a twin, and in their younger years they were referred to as “The Harrison Twins” for wreaking havoc in the neighborhood a time or two. Tuff loved nature, enjoying “breakfast in the park” with family and exploring Lost Nations. To know Tuff was to love him. He was a quiet man with a huge heart and infectious laugh, always lending a helping hand to those who needed it.
Tuff is survived by the love of his life,Lynn, celebrating 54 years of marriage this March. His children, Fred (Jennifer) Harrison and Florence DuBois. His grandchildren, Keary (Brooke) Harrison, Chloe (Ty) Wood, Billy (Brittany) DuBois, Emily (Caitlin) Vereecken, and Camille Harrison. His great grandchildren Wesley Harrison, Dutton Wood, Montana Wood, and Archer DuBois. His twin brother Paul (JoAnn) Harrison, along with his other siblings Joe, Janice, Jane, and Bill. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, along with countless other family and friends.
Tuff is predeceased by his parents Harold and Elizabeth, along with his sisters Phyllis and Frannie.
To honor Tuff’s wishes, there will be no service. A burial will be held at a later date for those who wish to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made in memory of Harold “Tuff” Harrison to Gateway Home, 91 Main St., Attica, NY 14011.
