Harley D. Christie

Age 92, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully at his home on November 29, 2023.

Born November 20, 1931 in Nunda, NY, son to the late Laverne and Hazel Christie. Harley was a people-person, always looking for someone to strike up a conversation with. He enjoyed going for walks, camping, fishing and listening to country music. Every year, Harley looked forward to his trip with the family to Addison, NY, for a country music festival. He worked for thirty-five years as a machinist at LeRoy Machine before retiring. In later years, Harley would work a few other jobs, most notably as a custodian at Warsaw Central School. He was a proud member of the Warsaw Fire Department and liked to recall his time serving in the U.S. Army.

Predeceased along with his parents are his sons, Harlan Christie and Kenny Christie.

Harley is survived by his sons, Kevin Christie of Warsaw, Barry (Becky) Christie of Warsaw, Vaughn (Barb) Christie of Batavia; his daughters, Teresa Rider of Warsaw, Tina (Jeff) Brookman of Virginia; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
