Guillermina Penzo

Guillermina "Mina" Penzo August 26, 1938- July 15, 2023

Guillermina Penzo, 84, of Farmington, NY passed away peacefully on July 15, 2023 in Warsaw, NY. She joins her mother, Venerita, and her sister, Ana, in their eternal home.

A native of the Dominican Republic, Mina came to New York City as a teenager in search of better opportunities for her family. Mina worked many years as a nurse’s aide in Metropolitan Hospital in NYC. Mina loved writing poetry, journaling daily, crocheting, singing, reciting poetry in Spanish and dancing salsa.

She is survived by her two daughters, Beverly and Alma, her eight grandchildren: Juan Jr. (Wally), Demetrius, Asya, Bianca, Eboni, Shelley Justin, Marvin Jr, and her two great grandchildren, Nyla and Dyana.  Mina was a good religious Christian woman who was loved by all and she will be truly missed.

There will be an intimate celebration of life for Mina for close friends and family.
