George R. Clark

Age 76, of Warsaw, passed away on January 6, 2025 at The Cloisters in Warsaw, NY.

He was born on January 7, 1948 in Warsaw, NY to the late Vernon M. and Mary E. Miller Clark. George was a graduate of Warsaw Central School and went on to get an Associates degree at Alfred Technical College. George was a former member of the Valley Chapel Free Methodist Church for many years. He worked in the sound booth and volunteered for many other jobs there. George had also been involved in 4-H and FFA.

George spent many years caring for his wife, Jan. He loved to tinker and invent. He loved nature, and took great care of his property in the woods that he loved so much. He also loved hats, of which he had a few favorites that he enjoyed wearing.

Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Jan Cook Clark who passed away on June 22, 2018.

George is survived by his siblings, Nora (the late Royce) Fisher of Warsaw, Thomas (Pam) Clark of Bennington, and William (Sandy) Clark of Warsaw, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11 am at the Valley Chapel Free Methodist Church, 3415 Route 19S, Warsaw. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or at donate.cancer.org.
