Age 77, of Warsaw, passed away on February 24, 2020 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
She was born May 22, 1942 in Warsaw, daughter of the late David and Mildred Bashnagel Hall. Gay was employed for many years at the former Mallory Timers Company in Warsaw and then served for several years as a teaching assistant and study hall monitor at Warsaw Central School.
Gay was an accomplished seamstress. She loved spending time in her flower gardens and tending to her beautiful yard. Gay enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved spending time with children.
Surviving are her husband, Alvin Carpenter, with whom she would have celebrated her sixtieth anniversary in July of this year; her children, Michelle “Shelly” (Shawn) Mann of Castile, Monique “Nikki” (Stephen) Fornarola of Webster, NY, Jason Carpenter; her grandchildren, Shawn Patrick (Ashley) Mann, Jr., Brigett Michelle (Jeremy) Harris, Elyse Patricia Gayann Mann Coughlin, Charles Thomas Mann, Rachel Fornarola, Stephen Fornarola; great grandchildren, Owen Desmond Harris, Avery Michelle Harris; nieces and nephew, Tara, Tiffany, David and Vicki. She was the sister of the late David Hall and Sharron Robinson.
There are no calling hours. Gay Ann’s memorial service will be held Saturday, February 29 at 1 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw.
