Frances J. Cox

Age 92, of Castile, passed away at home on August 21, 2024.

She was born on August 15, 1932, daughter of the late Aldridge and Pearl Houghton Cox. Frances worked as an office manager at Letchworth State Park for many years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star as well as an active member of the Castile United Church of Christ. Frances was an avid gardener also. She loved the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees and had season tickets to the Bills games.

Along with her parents, Frances is predeceased by very close friend, Gloria Stenson.

She’s survived by close friends, John Stenson of Warsaw, David (Shelby) Stenson of Rochester, Shawn (Jill) Stenson of Warsaw and their son Adam Stenson; her longtime co-worker and close friend Mary Jane Brooks, her husband Dick Brooks, and their son Chris Brooks; her lifelong friend, Linda Smith; and many cousins.

A memorial service for Frances will be held at the Castile United Church of Christ on August 30, 2024 at 11AM. Her burial will be at Grace Cemetery, Castile, immediately following her memorial service.
