Frances J. Browne

Age 109, of Penfield, formerly of Warsaw, passed away on April 29, 2024 at home.

She was born on April 8, 1915 in Silver Springs, NY to late Thomas and Kathryn Kuretich Broderick. Frances was a longtime employee of the former Mallory Timers Co., in Warsaw. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Warsaw and was extremely active in the Mission Group. Over the years she organized many church dinners.

Frances spent many years organizing bus trips and she raised thousands of dollars for local hospice organizations through quilt fundraisers. She was a family oriented person who loved staying in touch with her entire extended family. Frances was an avid gardener.

She is predeceased by her husband, Donald C. Browne and her siblings, Mary Dillelo, Joe Broderick, Jeanne Wilcox, Rudolph Broderick, Anna Geary, Genevieve Graves, James Broderick.

Frances is survived by her children, Donald R. Browne of Conesus Lake, Anne E. Browne of Penfield; grandson, David Browne of Irondequoit; many nieces and nephews.

Frances’ memorial service will be held Saturday, June 15 at 11 AM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 North Main Street, Warsaw. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Silver Springs. Memorials may be made to HomeCare & Hospice, 1225 W. State St., Olean, NY 14760.
