ERWIN W. ?BUZZ? RUGG

Age 83, of Castile, passed away at the Teresa House in Geneseo, NY on June 7, 2019.

Buzz was born February 9, 1936 in Warsaw, NY son of the late Erwin L. and Eunice Keppen Rugg. He was employed as a maintenance mechanic for Letchworth Central School where he retired in 1991. Buzz was a pilot who liked to build and fly his own planes. He also enjoyed motorcycles, computers and ham radio. Buzz was especially fond of his pets and had a love for all animals.

Buzz is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Beagle Rugg; his daughters, Paula (Anthony) Roman of Alden, NY, Laurie (Shaun) Nourse of Nunda, NY and Lisa (Edwin) Gunn of Dansville, NY; his sisters, Evelyn Akin of Lakeland, FL, Gail (Dan) Kemp of Victor, NY and Crystal Howe of Perry; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 4-7 PM at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 10, 2019 at 2 PM at the Castile United Church of Christ, (cor. N. Main & Washington Sts.), Castile. Burial will be at East Koy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Teresa House, 21 Highland Rd., Geneseo, NY, 14454; the Castile Rescue Squad, PO Box 338, Castile, NY, 14427; or the Castile United Church of Christ Sycamore Tree Carving, 4 Washington St., Castile, NY, 14427.
