Eric L. Galton

Age 64, of Portageville, NY passed away at home on September 11, 2020.

He was born November 25, 1955 in Warsaw, son of the late Burdett and Lillian Hare Galton. Eric worked for many years at LeRoy Machine Company and he was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Perry Bowling Association and the Bowling Hall of Fame. Eric was an avid hunter and he loved spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Galton who died in 2015, his sister, Charlotte Strathearn and granddaughter, Riley Helmer.

Surviving are his wife, Victoria Briggs Galton; his sons, Mark (Stephanie) Galton of Nunda, Adam (Christina) Galton of Perry; step sons, Nicholas (Laurie) Abbott of Silver Springs, Travis (Tonya Bliss) Abbott of Castile; fourteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Gloria (Tom) Mackenzie of Batavia, Darlene Gray of Warsaw; brother, Allen Galton of Batavia; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday, September 16 from 4 – 7 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Eric’s funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 7 PM. Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is limited to 33% capacity and facemasks are required.
