Age 85, of Warsaw, passed away on March 11, 2025 at Eastside Nursing Home in Warsaw.
She was born on February 28, 1940 in Ticonderoga, NY, daughter of the late Charles and Beatrice Caza Anauo. Elsie was very personable and that was evident through her life’s work. She held many hats over the years, working in retail at Ames, Save-Rite, Save-A-Lot and the Glen Iris gift shop at Letchworth St. Park. She drove bus for multiple companies and made deliveries for the family business, Bush’s Saw Mill. The job that gave Elsie the most joy though was working as a caregiver at the Cloisters. She loved to crochet and often donated her handcrafted items wherever she could as well.
Predeceased along with her parents is her daughter, Cheri Laforet; her sons, Aaron Bush and Stephen Bush; many siblings; her brother-in-law, Leo Lealofi; her best friend, Donna Richards; her dog, Oreo.
Elsie is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Bush of Warsaw; her daughters, Amber (Bryan) Powell of North Carolina, Susan (Justin) England of Florida; her son, Wayne (Josie) Bush of Rochester; her son-in-law, Ronald Laforet Jr.; a sister, Jean Lealofi of Michigan; a brother, James Anauo of Ohio; her niece, Debra Campbell; her grandchildren, Josh Bush, Matthew Bush, Ronnie (Molly) Grabowski, Candice Grabowski, Amy Grabowski, Samantha Losada-Bush, Rebecca Reardon, Cristian Albee; several great-grandchildren; many other nieces and nephews; her cat, Ragsie; and a special thanks to Myrtle and Stanley Fronczak, Wilda and John Davis, Brian Chambers, Jessica and Aiden Spencer, Jennifer Whitton Griffen, and Lilah Burdin.
A private service will be held for Elsie and her burial will be held privately as well in Dale Cemetery. A celebration of life for the public to attend will be announced at a later date.
