Eleanor L. Quandt

Age 94, a resident of the East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, formerly of Castile, passed away on January 18, 2019 at the nursing facility.

She was born March 9, 1924 in Castile, daughter of the late Charles and Nina Mae Wallace. Eleanor was a homemaker who was very actively involved in her community. She was a longtime member of the Castile United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star as well as the Wallace-Jeffers American Legion Auxiliary in Castile.

Eleanor was predeceased by her first husband, Carlton Jorgensen and her second husband, Robert Quandt and her daughter, Carol Ann Schuster.

Surviving are her son, Craig (Deborah VanderPoel) Jorgensen of King and Queen Courthouse, VA; her son-in-law, Gary Schuster of Gainesville; grandchildren, Todd (Karen) Schuster, Jeff Schuster, Connor Jorgensen; great grandchildren, Danielle Schuster, Jessica Morillo, Nicole (Clint) O?Brien, Luke Paddock, Joseph Paddock; her sister, Arlene Baker of Warsaw; step children, Mary Bridges of Batavia, Pamela (Daniel) Chasey of Perry, Janice Fuss of Castile, Elizabeth (Jeff) Draper of Eden, Nanette (Calvin) Genereux of Windsor, VA; step grandchildren, Channon (Joe) Hall, Trisha (Jonathan) Barney, Sarah (Nick) Nicassio, Steven (Sarah) Chasey, Zach Blackmon, Robbie Genereux, Mary Kay Fuss; seven step great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Eleanor was sister of the late Howard Wallace, Dean Wallace, Robert Wallace, Ronald Wallace, Vern Wallace, Addison Wallace; stepmother of the late Steven Quandt, Robert Quandt, Priscilla Quandt; step grandmother of the late Joseph Genereux.

Eleanor?s memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8 at noon at the Castile United Church of Christ (cor. Washington & N. Main Sts.) Castile. Burial will be in Grace Cemetery, Castile. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John J. Audubon Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228.
