Doris A. Sheffield

Age 90, of Warsaw, passed away on March 4, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

She was born on April 14, 1934, daughter of the late Everett and Anna Cartwright. Doris married John L. Sheffield on December 15, 1957. They had 37 years together before his death in 1994. Doris worked in the bakery at Super Duper making donuts as well as working at Mallory Timers for many years. She was a member of Home Bureau; she enjoyed solving puzzles, reading, crocheting, gambling and was an avid bowler. Doris collected all things owls, as well.

Along with her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Merlin, and Arthur Cartwright.

Doris is survived by her children, Dawn (Larry) Luckenbach of Caledonia, NY, Vaughn (Penny) Sheffield of Bennington; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Betsy (Carl) Flint along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 11am-1pm at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A funeral service for Doris will be held immediately following visitation at 1pm and her burial will be made in Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville, following the funeral service.
