Deloris M. Lunn

Age 84, passed away peacefully at the Teresa House, Geneseo, NY on February 8, 2024 after a brief illness. She was born on March 11, 1939 to the late Lewis and Hazel (Washburn) Hatfield.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Paul) Moore and a son, John (Priscilla) Lunn, along with her 8 grandchildren; Christopher (Cassara) May, Courtney (Bubba) Welninski, Jason Lunn, Andrew Lunn, Brandon Lunn, Sean (AJ) Lunn, Shannon McAuslen, and Ashley McAuslen and 1 great grandson, Myles May. She is also survived by a brother, Lewis (Emma) Hatfield and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Patricia, Marion, and Nancy, a brother, Raymond and a granddaughter, Kelly Jo.

Deloris was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County and was the owner of three very successful eating establishments; Deloris’ Restaurant, Silver Springs Country Market and Deloris’ Countryside Restaurant. Everyone came from all over to have her home cooked meals and her yummy baked goods. She was proud of her accomplishments and was hard working and dedicated to her businesses. She enjoyed making people happy through her love of cooking.

On a summer day, you might see her in her pride and joy, a 1959 Thunderbird, going for a drive or to a car show. She brought home many trophies throughout the years and always displayed them for everyone to see.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 4 to 7 pm at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home in Warsaw, NY and there will be a funeral held for her family on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at the United Church of Christ in Castile, NY.

Donations would be greatly appreciated in her memory to the Teresa House, Highland Avenue, Geneseo, New York 14454. They took wonderful care of her while she was there and we are so lucky to have these homes and dedicated volunteers.
