David W. Fox

Age 68, of Batavia, NY passed away at home on November 30, 2019.

He was born in Batavia, NY son of the late Warren and Ada Thamer Fox. David worked for many years as an engineer at Attica Correctional Facility. Prior to working at Attica, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1971-1973. David was known for his attention to detail and keeping a tidy home. He loved the outdoors, especially camping with family, yard work and landscaping, car shows and tinkering in his spare time. He also enjoyed spending time with friends at Applebee’s in Batavia.

David is predeceased by his former spouse Karen Almeter Fox; sister, Colleen Bow and longtime family friend Harold Abbey.

David is survived by his son, Darren (Liz) Fox of Warsaw, NY; sister, JoAnne (Steve) Ripstein; his grandchildren, Amelia Fox and Warren Fox; and many other family and friends.

Friends may call on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 1-4 PM at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw, where David’s memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 4 PM. Burial will be held in the spring.
