Age 75, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2020 at his home.
He was born April 19, 1945 in Warsaw, son of the late Clayton and Gladys Gill Christ. In early years, Dave operated the Christ Farm in Orangeville for several years. After selling the farm, he owned and operated Christ Livestock Hauling and then worked for twenty-three years with the Town of Orangeville Highway Department.
Dave was a kind, loyal, hardworking and patient man. He was always there to help others; the kind of man who always spoke thoughtfully and sincerely to everyone he met. A quiet man of few words, but with a tremendous wit and sense of humor. He loved his animals, especially his chihuahuas. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, he will be missed dearly by all.
Surviving are his wife of thirty-one years, Linda Beardslee Christ, whom he married on November 25, 1989; his daughter, Margaret (Anthony) Curran of Bluemont, VA; stepchildren, Hans (Lori) Lampart of Vineland, NJ, Kristin Luxon of Dansville, Nicole (Jon) Parkhurst of East Bethany; grandchildren, Jake and Dylan Curran, Daniel Howard, Allen Luxon, Nora, Matthew and Joseph Parkhurst, Jonathan Lampart; his sister, Margaret Bailey of Warsaw; his sister-in-law, Lorena Curley of Arizona; nephews and nieces, David (Debi) Bailey, William Bailey and Daniel Christ, Barb DeGolyer and Latami Curley. He was the brother of the late Richard Christ and uncle of the late Jill Christ and brother-in-law of the late Cornelius Bailey.
Friends may call Friday, May 7 from 5 – 7 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where David’s memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 7 PM. Private burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Warsaw Fire Department, PO Box 229, Warsaw, NY 14569.
