Age 66, of Silver Springs, NY, died peacefully at his home on July 28, 2016 under the care of his loving family and hospice.
He was born August 14, 1949 in Warsaw, NY son of the late Ernest and Lucille Bailey Rafferty. David was employed for thirty-three years as a mill operator at Markin Tubing Company prior to his retirement in 2005. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and he was an avid euchre player. David was a former member of the Free & Accepted Masons.
Surviving are his wife, Beatrice Ellis Rafferty; his children, David (Hope) Rafferty, Jr. of Silver Springs, Tabitha Gage Rafferty of Castile, Jeremy (Sarah) Bangle of Eau Claire, WI; his grandchildren, Cody Gordon, Kory Lanni, David Rafferty III, Domnic Rafferty, Kaden Bangle, Declan Bangle, Grace Bangle and Shelby Landcastle; his brothers, James (Josephine) Rafferty of Warsaw, Carl (Barb) Sceusa of Warsaw, Ross (Mary) Sceusa of Perry; several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Hope Rafferty and brother of the late Claire Rafferty, Daniel Rafferty and Patricia O?Meara.
Friends may call Sunday, July 31 from 6 ? 8 PM and Monday, August 1 from 4 ? 6 PM at the New Life Fellowship Church, Main St., Silver Springs where David?s funeral service will be held immediately following visitation on Monday at 6 PM. Private burial will be in East Koy Cemetery, Pike at a later date. Memorials may be made to the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642.
