Age 83, of Warsaw, passed away at home on Friday, December 27, 2024.
She was born on September 10, 1941 in Buffalo, NY, daughter of the late Edmund and Regina Witrowski Pacanowski. Caroline worked as a bookkeeper for the Wyoming County Health Department for 18 years, retiring in 2001. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles and doing Sudoku “super duper” puzzles. Caroline also liked to knit and crochet and belonged to her church’s knitting group. She passed on her crafting and sewing skills as a 4-H leader as well. Caroline was the nicest lady you would ever meet without a mean bone in her body. If you knew her you were very lucky and had a true friend that would do anything to help you. Caroline cherished the time she spent with her family most of all.
Along with her parents, Caroline is predeceased by four siblings.
She is survived by her husband, James Hunt of Orangeville; her daughters, Lynne (Todd) Kilner of Warsaw, Janet Thompson of Castile; her sister, Joyce Spruce of Chaffee; her grandchildren, Nathan Thompson, Nicholas Thompson, Samantha Kilner, Daniel Kilner; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on January 2, 2025 from 11-2 PM at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Caroline’s funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 2:30 PM. Burial will be made at St. Joseph's Cemetery of St. Joachim and Anne’s in Varysburg.
