Carol Anne (Schroeder) Vanocker

Age 78, of Bliss, passed away November 7, 2021 at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Springville.

Carol was born March 20, 1943 in Buffalo, NY, daughter of the late William and Helen Kessler Schroeder. She was a graduate of Letchworth Central School class of 1962 and attended the Mohawk Valley Institute of Art.

Carol was honorarily adopted by the Seneca Nation. Her Cherokee name is Kwa-A-Da-Tsi-Lu-Quo-Di, which translated means, "Woman with a kind heart". She donated much to their heritage. Carol enjoyed baking, decorating cakes, making jewelry, drawing, painting, bird houses, and visits to Letchworth State Park.

She is predeceased by her infant daughter, Barbara VanOcker.

Carol is survived by her children, Lorri Barnhardt of Bliss, Lawrence VanOcker of Gainesville, Rhonda (John) Schell of Warsaw; grandchildren, Ciera (Caleb) Santoro, Dakota VanOcker, Gavin VanOcker; great grandchildren, Grayson and Oliver Santoro; brothers, William Schroeder of Chaffee, Martin Schroeder; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Saturday, November 13th from 12 – 2 PM at Robinson And Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Carol’s memorial service will be held immediately following at 2 PM.
