Bruce G. Largey

Age 61, of the Town of Gainesville, passed away August 24, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester.

He was born November 5, 1959 in Warsaw, son of the late James Largey and Connie (Eddie Almeter) Frank Largey of Rock Glen. Bruce worked as a corrections officer at the Wyoming Correctional Facility for 25 years.

Bruce belonged to the Oatka Valley Snowmobile Club and enjoyed setting trails in the fall for the club. He loved spending time on his land and fishing, along with stocking trout with the NYS DEC. Bruce was always surrounded by his golden retriever “Budder.” Bruce donated his organs so that others could live.

Along with his mother, Bruce is survived by his wife, Lisa Nichols Largey of Gainesville; son, Sean A. Largey of GA; sisters, Charlene (Lynn) Miller of Castile, Darlene Hotchkiss of FL, Lori (David) McClurg of Perry; aunt, Betty (Claude) Carpenter of FL; many nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 2 PM at Wolf Creek Event Center, 12 S. Main St., Castile, NY.
