Beatrice M. Raplee

Age 86, of Castile, NY, passed away on March 27, 2021 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

She was born May 6, 1934 in Buffalo, NY daughter of the late James and Gertrude Patterson Snyder. In earlier years, Bea worked at the former Perry Knitting Mill and the former Castile Nursing Home. She then worked for many years at the East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw and for the last several years has been employed as a “Grandma” at the Silver Lake Day Treatment Center in Perry.

Bea was an avid bingo player. She was a Buffalo Bills fan and a New York Yankees fan. She enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles, bird watching and playing cards with friends.

Bea was predeceased by her husband, Clair who died February 28, 2016.

Surviving are her children, Roger (Jennifer) Raplee of Warsaw, Lorie Scott of Castile, Kat (Sean Youngblood) Arnold of Castile; her grandchildren, Michael Scott, Dan (Holly) Arnold, Chevy (Danielle) Arnold, Kali Youngblood; her great grandchild, Odin Arnold; her sister, Gertrude Nichols of Ohio. She was the sister of the late George Borden, Fayette Cleveland, Marlene Cleveland Abate, Walter Snyder, Joseph Snyder and James Snyder.

Bea’s memorial service will be held Thursday, April 1 at 7 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Private burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville. Memorials may be made to the Castile Rescue Squad, PO Box 338, Castile, NY 14427.
