Arthur D. Cartwright, Jr.

Age 62, of Bliss, passed away on November 27, 2023 at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rochester, NY.

He was born January 31, 1961, son of Joe Lavery and the late Andrea Peffer Lavery. Arthur was a graduate of Letchworth Central School, Class of 1979 and studied Business in college. He worked for the family business in Food Concessions, later becoming the proud owner of the business. Nicknamed “Tuffy” for his resilience as a child, Arthur was a family oriented man who loved spending time with them and was extremely proud of his grandchildren. He was a member of the Bliss Baptist Church, loved eagles, and enjoyed playing pool, often playing in leagues. Arthur was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion, NY Post 1720, in Bliss.

Along with his father, Arthur is survived by his sons, Steven (Becky Crissey) Cartwright of Fillmore, Chase Cartwright of Bliss; his daughter, Tori (Nate) Lundy of Gainesville; his sisters, Tami Dedsozak of Varysburg, Kim Schwab of Bliss, Sue Cartwright of Fillmore; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
