Anna D. Alfieri Fuest

Age 87, of Warsaw, passed away on July 5, 2020 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 26, 1932 in Warsaw, daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Celona Alfieri. Anna worked for many years as a child support caseworker with the Wyoming County Department of Social Services. Prior to that she was a reading teacher’s assistant and cafeteria monitor at Wyoming Central School. Anna was a long time member of St. Michael’s Church in Warsaw.

Following her marriage to her late husband, John F. Fuest, they lived on the family farm on East Road in Wyoming until retirement in 1984. They then moved to Liberty Street in Warsaw where she resided until her death.

Chocolate chip cookies were her gift of thanks to all that touched her life. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed golf as a hobby. Routinely watching the New York Yankees, she was a number one fan. She loved dogs and they loved her. Her pockets were always full of treats. But, her greatest treasures were her children. A more devoted mom could not exist!

Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband, John F. Fuest who died December 23, 2007.

Surviving are her children, William (Ursula) Fuest of Pavilion, Deborah (Dennis) Kirish of The Villages, FL, Robert (Kate) Fuest of Warsaw, David (Darlene) Fuest of Warsaw, Diane (Janet Stubley) Fuest of Warsaw; her brothers, Joseph (Sharon) Alfieri of Connecticut, James (Donna) Alfieri of Florida; her sister-in-law, Bea Tilton of Warsaw; her grandchildren, Gretchen, Lisa, Nicholas, Jennifer, Christina, Catherine, Farren and Jared; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
